Our high temp silicone purge plugs can withstand temperatures up to 600 degrees. We recommend keeping these 1-3 inches from the area being welding, but also depends on the heat input. If you are welding closer to the plug, we recommend our aluminum purge plugs which work with any heat range.
High temp silicone plugs include a (1) barb fitting, (2) 1/8" NPT sleeves, (1) internal diffuser, and (1) vent fitting. The barb fitting is short to prevent pulling out of the plug as the pipe/tube is moved and repositioned. The diffuser will help distribute the argon smooth and even through the tube/pipe. Our vent fitting will properly vent out the opposite end of where you are welding.
